Hello readers! and Sorry!
I began this comic to explore a series of stories and embrace my morbid fascination with psychological terror. Not the jump scares that are so common in media today, but the sort of fear that forces you to take a deeper look at yourself, that leaves you feeling unsettled with what you yourself are comfortable with. True terror, true fear, true monsters are inside our own minds, and I aim to bring them out with this comic. However, “comic” is the operative word, and walking the line between fear and fun is a constant struggle, like a ghost story told at a campfire. I digress.
Throughout this creative process, my beloved partner, best friend, and constant companion has stood beside me, encouraging me, inspiring me, motivating me, critiquing me, and keeping me going against all odds. I mention this to explain my brief hiatus. For all the nightmares I have dreamed, the terrors borne in my mind, and the fearful humour alongside them, there was no fear I wanted to face more than asking this amazing woman to be my wife. Amidst a lightning storm and fireworks, she said yes. So, for the past few weeks, we have been celebrating, and delighting in our engagement.
Be afraid, fair readers. The comic will resume this Sunday.
